Accommodations Updates

 

As South Walton's accommodation partners begin to welcome guests back, be sure to stay up to date on how our local businesses have adapted their operations. We'll regularly upate this page with new information as it becomes available. 

 

Alys Beach

  • Alys Beach Vacation Rentals began accepting reservations beginning Saturday, May 23. Check here for more information: https://floridahealthcovid19.gov/travelers/
  • The following amenities are in varying stages of opening or offering limited services. Complete information on each amenity can be found here.
    • Open: Caliza Restaurant, Caliza Pool, NEAT Bottle Shop and Tasting Room, Alys Shoppe, Alys Beach Real Estate, Beach Services, The Bike Shop, Piper's Kitchen and ZUMA Wellness Center (owners, vacation rental guests and members only).
    • Closed: Amphitheatre Splash Pad
  • A curfew has been set for 10 p.m. for nonresident minors.

Cottage Rental Agency

  • We are now accepting reservations beginning May 21.
  • Reservations will not be honored where prohibited, and CRA accepts no responsibility for guests’ reservations that do not adhere to guidelines. Per the governor’s executive order, reservations for dates within the next 45 days may not be accepted for renters coming from specific COVID-19 hotspot states which include: Louisiana, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey.

Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort and Spa:

  • The Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa opened effective May 15, 2020.
  • Our onsite restaurants with indoor seating will continue operating at 50% capacity to aid in social distancing and abide by the ordinace put in place by the governor. All surfaces within the restaurants will be cleaned and disenfected with commercial grade products in between each guest experiene. Please note our menus and hours may be limited as we begin to resume our day-to-day business and are subject to change.
  • We continue to deep clean and sanitize the resort while briefing our team on all guidelines provided by the CDC, WHO, FDOH and other authorities as they are shared with us.
  • Existing Reservations. All reservations — even those described as “non-cancellable” (“Advanced Purchase”) — that are scheduled for arrival on or before June 30, 2020, can be changed or canceled at no charge, up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival day.
  • New Reservations. Any reservations you make — even those described as “non-cancellable” (“Advanced Purchase”) — that are booked between today and June 30, 2020, for any future arrival date can be changed or canceled at no charge, up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival day.

Homeowner's Collection:

  • We are now welcoming guests and taking new reservations now, please call 1-855-411-1447 or visit our website.
  • COVID 19 Cancellation Policy - 48 Hour Flexible Cancellation Policy - Valid on bookings made between March 31, 2020 to  May 31, 2020. New reservations made during this time period are refundable and may be cancelled up to 48 hours prior to arrival due to Seaside Commercial District Closure and other COVID 19 Travel restrictions. 

Howard Hospitality:

Rosemary Beach:

  • Vacation Rentals can now once again rent in Walton County, as long as they are following the guidelines set out by the BCC.
  • Community pools:
    • Hours: The pools will be open from 9AM to 5PM each day for general use. A POA staff person will be present to check amenity passes, generally monitor activity, and to keep furniture and supplies in order.
    • Safety: Social distance and personal hygiene per CDC guidelines will be required as a condition of entering the facility, and patrons not complying will be asked to leave. Masks are discretionary, and should not be worn while swimming.
    • Sky Pool: Will be open from 6AM to 9AM each morning for Lap Swim only, and POA staff will monitor on an hourly basis to check amenity passes and generally monitor activity.
    • Furniture : Seating capacity will be reduced to provide 6 feet of spacing between sets of loungers. Furniture may not be moved without staff permission and assistance.
    • Sanitization: Staff will sanitize frequently touched surfaces such as door/gate hardware, restrooms, pool railings, and furniture not less than once daily, and will ensure that there is an adequate supply of hand sanitizer and wipes available for patron use while using the facility.
  • Upon booking a reservation you have 48 hours to cancel/change with no penalty. After the first 48 hours, cancellations or changes will result in the forfeiture of your 50% deposit plus the $99 reservation fee. If a cancellation occurs within 14 days of your arrival date, the entire balance of your stay will be non-refundable and non-transferable. No refunds will be given for late arrivals or early departures.

Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort: 

  • Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort is now accepting reservations.
  • In addition to our internal changes, we will ask our guests and homeowners to review governmental guidance to confirm eligibility to travel and stay at our resort and/or leave their own state.
  • Reservations will not be honored where prohibited, and Sandestin accepts no responsibility for guests' reservations that do not adhere to guidelines. Seascape:

  • Seascape Beach – Activities are limited to walking, jogging, fishing, swimming, paddleboarding, surfing and boating. Social distancing guidelines must be followed.
  • Seascape HOA pools – Open with reduced bathing loads (half capacity), reduced number of chairs on the pool deck 91/2) and spaced at least 6 feet apart.
  • Has Aerial Dunes I & II pools and fitness centers – closed until further notice
  • Majestic Sun pool and fitness center: Open as of May 1.
  • Seascape Golf Course: Open as of May 1.

The Pearl Hotel

  • As we reopen our doors, our promise to you remains the same: a hospitable, comfortable, beautiful and relaxing stay for you and your loved ones. 
  • We are now accepting reservations and are extending refundable rates for new bookings within the hotel’s cancellation policy timeframe of two weeks. 
  • To best serve you during your visit, we have adjusted our hotel operations in accordance with guidelines and recommendations from the CDC and State of Florida, including but not limited to:
    • Enhanced property-wide sanitation procedures and frequency
    • Property-wide access to hand sanitizer
    • Physical distancing procedures in all communal space, including beach access
    • Restriction of gatherings to 10 people or less
    • Touchless entry to hotel and hotel facilities, when possible
    • Restricted seating in pool areas and hotel restaurants
    • Making mask and gloves available to guests, upon request
    • Thermal temperature controls for all of our team members and guests, as needed
    • Extensive COVID-19 training for all team members
