Event Updates

 
As local businesses take precautions to ensure the safety of visitors and residents and stop the spread of COVID-19, a number of events have been canceled or postponed until a later date. We'll regularly update this page with new information as it becomes available. 

 

FOOD & WINE EVENTS:

South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival: 

The 2021 South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival, scheduled for April 22-21, has been canceled. Event organizers expect the festival to return in 2022, which would be the event's 10th anniversary.  For the latest information, visit the South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival website.

30A Wine Festival at Alys Beach: 

The 2021 30A Wine Festival at Alys Beach, scheduled for Feb. 18-22, will be paused, and in its place, Alys Beach is hosting Intermezzo, which will include a series of small, intimate, beautifully curated dinners, lunches and mixology sessions that reflect the original festival format. The events will be held in Alys Beach's famous pocket parks. Intermezzo, which is sold out, will be held the weekend of Feb. 19. More information can be found at the 30A Wine Festival website.

 

ART & MUSIC EVENTS:

30A Songwriters Festival: 

Due to concerns about COVID-19, an in-person 30A Songwriters Festival was canceled, but a virtual event HOOKS, (ON)LINES & SINGERS will take place January 29-31. For the latest information about the event, visit the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County’s website.

Valentine Tour of Homes: 

Due to concerns about COVID-19, the annual Valentine Tour of Homes, which was scheduled for February13-14, has been postponed. 

Digital Graffiti: 

Due to concerns about COVID-19, the annual Digital Graffiti event at Alys Beach will be an immersive, drive through experience, held May 12-15. Tickets go on sale March 1 (Alys Beach homeowners) and March 15 (general public). For up-to-date information, visit the Digital Graffiti website.

 

 

SPORTS EVENTS:

2021 Seaside School Half Marathon & 5K: 

The 2021 Seaside School Half Marathon & 5K will be held virtually. For up-to-date race information, visit their website.

30A Sand Rover Rally: 

The 2021 30A Sand Rover Rally, scheduled for April, has been canceled. Organizers intend to host the event again in 2022.  

 

FLORIDA STATE PARKS:

State parks are open, although currently operating with restrictions in place. For specific information about reservations or what to expect before visiting one of South Walton's state parks, click on the state park name below to learn more. 

  • Deer Lake State Park is open for day-use activities. Restroom availability may be limited. All other park facilities are closed. Visitors are expected to maintain distances of at least six feet apart.
  • Eden Gardens State Park is open. House tours are offered at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. Monday, Thursday and Friday with a maximum of 10 people per tour. Restroom availability may be limited. All other park facilities are closed. Visitors are expected to maintain distances of at least six feet apart.
  • Grayton Beach State Park is open. The beach, trails and canoe/kayak launch are available. Restroom availability may be limited. Visitors are expected to maintain distances of at least six feet apart.
  • Topsail Hill Preserve State Park is open. The beach and trails are available. Restroom availability may be limited. The campground pool is currently closed. Visitors are expected to maintain distances of at least six feet apart.

 

RETAIL AND ACTIVITIES: 

Retail shopping areas like 30AvenueGrand Boulevard and Silver Sands Premium Outlets are open and have implemented precautionary measures that adhere to CDC guidelines and government mandates. Farmer's Markets are also open for business.
