South Walton may be known for its sugar-white sand and turquoise water, but did you know we’re also known for our luscious greens? Putting greens, that is! WaterSound is home to two of the area's premier golf courses, Camp Creek Golf Club and Origins Golf Club. Rich in native vegetation, such as marshes, pine stands and live oaks, these courses make for an exciting and challenging game. Hit the links in the morning and make it back to the beach for a relaxing afternoon.
Venture beyond the WaterSound gates for a little South Walton entertainment, all within walking distance of your rental. The Big Chill, known for its open-air atmosphere, food truck-style dining and massive entertaining space, is sure to have something to entertain everyone in your group. Before visiting, be sure to check out their events calendar - packed with game watching parties, live entertainment, movies on the green and more. After snacking and sipping, venture to the Shops at The Hub, where you’ll find goods from local artists, home décor, accessories, rentals and more.
We can’t mention WaterSound without talking about pizza. (Yes, we said pizza.) Bruno’s Pizza is a local and visitor favorite, serving funky topped pizzas for more than 30 years. From Taco to Thanksgiving style, your taste buds will be asking for more. Finish off with the famous cinnamon knots, the perfect sweet treat!
Work off those vacation calories and explore one of the longest boardwalks in South Walton. Deer Lake State Park, located in the heart of the WaterSound neighborhood, is the perfect place for visitors to enjoy nature trails, the picturesque coastal dunes and the natural habitat of Northwest Florida. Explore the state forest on the northside of 30A, or take a stroll through the dunes, home to Scrub Oaks and Southern Magnolias.
